The GRUBBY is named after the godfather of surfboard foam and the inventor of polyurethane closed cell foam used for surfboards, Grubby Clark. He started off with something rough, made it into the modern day surfboards, and we are perfecting it for Wakesurfing. We wanted to honor him and Hobie by making a performance model that will blow your mind when you're behind the boat and outperform anything on the market. It is a true test of style and a craftsman approved ripping board. Its a pleasure to ride and a true surfers style model of wakesurf board. The winged tail section makes for super easy turning, and the wide platform nose makes sure that you have both form and function.  We added a carbon wrapped nose stringer for flex when you need it and stiffness when you're powering through your turns.
